PLTW & STEM Curriculum
Arlington Elementary School will become Arlington STEM Elementary School in the Fall of 2025 as it introduces the Project Lead the Way curriculum, focusing on science, technology, engineering and math. This new approach will engage students with hands-on learning and real-world challenges, sparking their natural curiosity and helping them develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By exploring these subjects in an interactive way, students will build a strong foundation for future success and a love of learning.
This curriculum is designed to spark the natural curiosity in young learners by offering hands-on activities that let them explore what they can be and what they can do. Through fun, real-world projects, students dive into subjects like computer science, engineering and biomedical science all while developing important skills.
Even at a young age, they get to apply math and English Language Arts skills, meet science standards and build a strong foundation for learning across different subjects.
